Leadership Development Associate
The Team: Training & Support
 
Training & Support Team leads the efforts to train and empower participants (?fellows?) who are teaching in classrooms to transform the lives of thousands of students in the Greater Bangkok area.In 2018, Teach For Thailand?s Training & Support Team will train over 100+ fellows. The team designs and executes training and professional development programs for fellows during ?Institute? and throughout their two-year placement in schools. The team also builds the capacity of Teach For Thailand staff and partners with government, university, and local schools to support and develop our fellows. Through the team?s work, our fellows will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to lead the students they teach to greater achievement and to develop into future leaders themselves.

Role:
The Head of Training & Support is a one-of-a-kind position that provides an unparalleled opportunity for the right individual to play an important role in developing Thailand?s future leaders. Teach For Thailand is looking for a highly experienced individual who has a passion for building a young and dynamic team that will develop our fellows to become exceptional leaders in the classroom and beyond.  The individual must be a strategic thinker, an outstanding relationship builder, and a skilled leader who can lead a team to achieve ambitious results in an entrepreneurial environment. The Head Support will have the opportunity to shape team and fellow cultures, design and execute fellow in-service training programs in partnership with Head of Training, and innovate in the areas of teacher coaching/mentoring and leadership development. 

Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
Training & Support:
  • Set transformational vision of impact for students, fellows and alumni and develop corresponding definitions, goals and metrics to measure impact
  • Refine and update existing Training & Support framework to align to vision and goals for impact
  • Execute fellow training and professional development programs to the highest quality in order to achieve transformational impact
Partner Engagement:
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders (staff, fellows, students, parents, school and community) to foster broad alignment with and conviction in vision and goals for student, fellow and alumni impact
  • Manage high stakes relationships to design and deliver a training program that will facilitate an alternative route to teacher certification
  • Build lasting partnerships with key leaders and organizations in the education community to gain support and resources for fellow training and development efforts
Team Management:
  • Manage a team of ~6 high-performing team members to be successful and engaged in a  student-first environment; recruit Leadership Development Associate/Manager and develop the team in response to the scale of the program
  • Build a strong team culture to ensure that the Training & Support team is a great and sustainable place for every team member to work
  • Coach and develop team members on core teacher training and management skills and cultivate them as future leaders of the Training & Support team
Others:
  • Provide leadership for the organization and represent the vision, mission, and core values of the organization both internally and externally
  • Engage the entire organization in coming up with a long-term student vision
  • Work on key strategic initiatives and issues to optimize the operations of the support team as well as maximize impact

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor?s degree or master?s degree in any fields;
  • Thai nationality or legally authorized to work in Thailand;
  • Over 3 years' management experience in training and support;
  • Outstanding track record of achievements and ability to operate with urgency and sense of possibility in a fast-paced environment;
  • Working experience in coaching, training  and teaching would be highly considered; 
  • Deep knowledge of and experience in leadership development and/or adult learning theory and practice;
  • Excellent vision-setting, strategic thinking and project management ability;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and flexibility to work in a cross-cultural environment;
  • Ability to develop and cultivate relationships and networks to achieve results;
  • Proven ability to coach and develop team members toward achieving ambitious and measurable outcomes;
  • Flexible (able to travel and work on weekend occasionally);
  • Passionate about education, working with people and working for society;
  • Fluency in spoken Thai and proficiency in English is required.

Senior/Talent Acquisition Associate
The Talent Acquisition team is on the front line of our organization. The team identifies, cultivates and influences future Thai leaders to apply and join the Fellowship  we recruit our nations greatest talent and provide them with training and support that will help them thrive in the classroom and equip them with skills to be leaders in all professional contexts.

As a Senior/Talent Acquisition Associate, you will be responsible for the full cycle of recruitment. You will create an effective marketing strategy, build and maintain relationships (with student leaders, administrators, faculty members, advisors, and other key campus stakeholders), work on creating a compelling pitch to prospective applicants, source and select the best talent for our schools which will be at the heart of your work. In addition, you will adopt a sales and marketing approach to compel talented individuals to apply to Teach For Thailand and build a movement at your campus to ensure that Teach For Thailand recruits 100 Fellows by 2018.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic planning
  • Create strategic campus recruitment plans of the targeted universities
  • Conduct data analysis and use tracking systems to determine effectiveness of campaign strategy and execution
Branding strategy
  • Plan and execute branding strategies to create brand awareness and brand engagement
  • Build a strong brand on targeted campus by promoting Teach For Thailand to students from assigned universities and influence high potential candidates to apply for the Fellowship Program
  • Promote the brand through online (e.g. social media) and offline channels (e.g. poster, event)
  • Lead and run impactful events on campus or other Teach For Thailand events
  • Recruit and lead a team of Brand Managers (university campus based student volunteers) by empowering Brand Managers to promote and make impacts for the Fellowship Program; and provide feedbacks on Brand Managers? operations/performances as required
Build and maintain strong relationship
  • Establish, foster and maintain added value relationships with important networks at assigned universities us through clear communication plans which engage key stakeholders with Teach For Thailand?s vision;
Effective communications
  • Deliver a compelling pitch to professors, prospective applicants, etc.
  • Create an opportunity to have great conversation or speech to get the big names on campus
  • Cultivate potential talents and incoming participants through events, regular telephone calls and meetings
Talent sourcing & selection
  • Recruit high potential candidates to be our Fellows from target universities
  • Review and score candidate applications in accordance with Teach For Thailand?s selection model
  • Coordinate and communicate with both successful and unsuccessful applicants during all stages of the recruitment and selection process
  • Act as an assessor during Teach For Thailand?s assessment centers in accordance with the selection model and Teach For Thailand?s value at all times
  • Other responsibilities/special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

Senior/External Relations Associate
Teach For Thailand seeks an Associate for the External Relations team. The Associate will provide essential support to Teach For Thailand's CEO and Head of External Relations, who are responsible for developing and growing meaningful partnerships between Teach For Thailand and a constituency of global and national corporations, government agencies and high net worth individuals.
 
The Associate will play a critical role in supporting the actions, strategies and systems undergirding Teach For Thailand's cultivation of this deep and dynamic donor pipeline. His/her duties will range from account management to research and meeting preparation, as well as managing up to the functional head to execute expansive partnerships. A make it happen and can do attitude, disciplined work habits, and attention to detail will be keys to success in this role. The Associate will report directly to the Head of External Relations.

Outcomes:
This position will play a key role in building a strong base of corporate and individual support for Teach For Thailand's efforts by:
  • Co-owning the portfolios along with the functional head to increase and accelerate our efforts to build a constituency of champions and raise critical resources
  • Deeply building the understanding of the landscape of potential supporters and making recommendations for how we engage with possible champions of our mission
  • Developing high-impact communications both internally and externally to advance potential partnerships
  • Accurately maintaining systems that allow the team to understand our progress and track critical tasks
  • Maximizing the functional area lead time through providing administrative support
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Senior/Associate, External Relations will play a key role in supporting the organizations portfolio of private corporations and individual supporters. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 
Account Management  
  • Build strong relationships so key accounts are exceeded as planned. Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Escalate, track and resolve key account issues
  • Work effectively with your vertical to help accelerate the growth of relationships
  • Develop/provide excellent targeted stewardship touch points to our champions/partners so they thoroughly understand our model and are satisfied
Partnership Engagement
  • Deliver and execute partnerships strategy in order to secure necessary resources (financial and in-kind) for the organization to execute the program
  • Engage current partners through different levers in a creative and systematic way with the results
  • Engage and inspire prospects and advocates of Teach For Thailand in order to build lasting relationships in both short and long term 
Research and Meeting Preparation
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of new and existing donors to inform strategy for influencing, motivating and inspiring donors to contribute to our work
  • Creating strategic meeting briefs with appropriate objectives, asks, angles and donor history that anticipate potential questions from funders and proposed potential responses
  • Preparing high-level landscape analysis research to build Teach For Thailand?s fundraising pipeline, identifying alignment between our work and donor interests and recommending concrete next steps for the Head of External Relations
Writing and Strategy Responsibilities
  • Drafting internal and external donor-related communications, such as thank you letters, email correspondence and donor histories for network partners
  • Creating compelling PowerPoint presentations for funder meetings and touch points
  • Drafting strategy documents to align across teams on key plans important to this portfolio such as donor stewardship plans or a multi-donor initiative
Administrative Support
  • Processing cash receipt forms for pledges and gifts
  • Coordinate trip planning and execution, including drafting itineraries, compiling preparatory materials, and arranging travel and accommodations
  • Manage calendar scheduling and finances for the External Relations Team
  • Provide other dedicated administrative support on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of professional experience with proven track record of achievement
  • Experience in account management, business development, sales, or related filed will be preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain partner relationships
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, ability to communicate a value proposition to potential partners at all levels is key
  • Strong service-minded, analytical and result-oriented skills
  • Well detail-oriented, organized and prioritized.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet
  • Good command of English and Thai fluency is mandatory (written and spoken)

Chief Program Officer
Teach For Thailand just celebrated our 5th anniversary. We are in our second founding phase, and are seeking a bold and strategic Chief Program Officer to lead our “program” continuum, which ranges from Talent Acquisition, Training and Support to Alumni Network.

An ideal candidate is a natural leader and manager of excellence with a strong track record of leading teams and a knack for bringing order to ambiguity. The role’s key measure of success will be to establish schools as a learning community through a rapid growth in the size of our movement, increased effectiveness of participants and teacher coaches in leading students to broadened life opportunities, and the cultivation of alumni leadership as a force for change.You will keep expectations high and knit all of our program teams together so that we can fulfill our mission and have a huge impact. This position will report directly to CEO.

Outcomes and Responsibilities
● Lead Teach For Thailand’s programmatic teams to achieve our vision and goals by developing and implementing a strategic plan to:
  • Achieve ambitious growth target for number of participants, which is expected to grow an average of ~20% annually over the next three yearso
  • Evolve and refine our transformational vision for students and system change to impact more than 30,000 students over the next few yearso
  • Evolve training and professional development programs for participants to the highest quality in order to achieve our vision of impact for students and prepare our alumni for leadershipo
  • Establish mechanisms for mutual learning and collaboration between programmatic teams to ensure that all teams are working together in an aligned and integrated way toward our transformational vision for students and system change
● Groom a local successor to take over the role within 24-30 months and build a strong team culture:
  • Manage a team of ~3-5 high-performing functional heads/managers to be successful and engaged in a student-first environmento
  • Coach and develop team members on management skills and cultivate them as future leaders of our organizationo
  • Build a strong team culture so that staff working within the program continuum have an inspiring, fulfilling and sustainable experience that leads to delivering their best performance
Contribute to and shape Teach For Thailand’s overall organizational strategy:
  • Partner with the CEO and other teams to help create organization-wide strategies around growth, student, school and community impact, and long-term areas of focus
  • Provide leadership for the organization by representing the vision, mission, and core values of the organization, both internally and externallyo
  • Work on key strategic initiatives and issues to optimize the operations of the organization as well as maximize impact
Requirements:
