Chief Program Officer

Teach For Thailand just celebrated our 5th anniversary. We are in our second founding phase, and are seeking a bold and strategic Chief Program Officer to lead our “program” continuum, which ranges from Talent Acquisition, Training and Support to Alumni Network.

An ideal candidate is a natural leader and manager of excellence with a strong track record of leading teams and a knack for bringing order to ambiguity. The role’s key measure of success will be to establish schools as a learning community through a rapid growth in the size of our movement, increased effectiveness of participants and teacher coaches in leading students to broadened life opportunities, and the cultivation of alumni leadership as a force for change.You will keep expectations high and knit all of our program teams together so that we can fulfill our mission and have a huge impact. This position will report directly to CEO.

Outcomes and Responsibilities
● Lead Teach For Thailand’s programmatic teams to achieve our vision and goals by developing and implementing a strategic plan to:
  • Achieve ambitious growth target for number of participants, which is expected to grow an average of ~20% annually over the next three yearso
  • Evolve and refine our transformational vision for students and system change to impact more than 30,000 students over the next few yearso
  • Evolve training and professional development programs for participants to the highest quality in order to achieve our vision of impact for students and prepare our alumni for leadershipo
  • Establish mechanisms for mutual learning and collaboration between programmatic teams to ensure that all teams are working together in an aligned and integrated way toward our transformational vision for students and system change
● Groom a local successor to take over the role within 24-30 months and build a strong team culture:
  • Manage a team of ~3-5 high-performing functional heads/managers to be successful and engaged in a student-first environmento
  • Coach and develop team members on management skills and cultivate them as future leaders of our organizationo
  • Build a strong team culture so that staff working within the program continuum have an inspiring, fulfilling and sustainable experience that leads to delivering their best performance
Contribute to and shape Teach For Thailand’s overall organizational strategy:
  • Partner with the CEO and other teams to help create organization-wide strategies around growth, student, school and community impact, and long-term areas of focus
  • Provide leadership for the organization by representing the vision, mission, and core values of the organization, both internally and externallyo
  • Work on key strategic initiatives and issues to optimize the operations of the organization as well as maximize impact
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required

● 5+ years of management experience in a fast-paced, goals-driven environment
● Prior experience with a Teach For All partner organization is mandatory
● Prior classroom or school leadership experience preferred
● English fluency is mandatory
● Thai fluency not required
